Carbine Lorraine pads

I'm fitting carbonne Lorraine pads to the clio but there seems to be a lot of play when fitting them into the caliper almost 5mm all round . Am I missing something or are they suppose to be like this?

is 5mm an exageration? I'd expect 2mm roughly with the shims removed

5mm seems a lot,

But yes they are free to move around. Mine did so, but never really bothered me. They do make a lot of noise when driving in the road, you can hear them rattle.

I just looked again, maybe it's more like 3-4 mm play, just seems odd. I phone ktec and they have confirmed this is normal.

Seems about right to me, they'll clonk around in there when cold too, so if you hear any knocks, that'll be the culprit!

if you're careful you can re-use the springs from your old pads and they'll clip in to the CLs. Laine did this to his and it stop them clunking about so much
