wanna turn my 1.2 into a little mean track car as i gettin a new one next month. what do you have to do to the ecu to put it on carbs?

Step 1 - Sell 1.2 clio
Step 2 - Buy cheap 172 for track car purposes.
Step 3 - ENjoy a car that has uprated brakes and suspension to match the increased engine power and enjoy it on track.
Step 4 - ??????
Step 5 - PROFIT

What would the point be precisely ?!

What new car are you getting ? Why would you want to track a 1.2 if you're getting something else ?!

You can't just whack it on carbs and drive away. It will need ECU removing, parts machined as there's no such thing available 'off the shelf', carbs bought, new fuel set up, etc etc etc.. for what gains/point ?

if you gain on average 20bhp with ITB's on a 2litre id love to see how much 2-5k will difference will make to a 1.2? plus carbs are old skool.

172 for the road though

Why not sell the 1.2 and have the 172 as road/track.

If you plan on going all out track which would be illegal for road use with the money you get from selling the 1.poo get another 172 for track use.
