Cat Re-Fitting Tips

  Bumder With A Buffer
As above Im putting getting rid of my de-cat and putting standard cat back on tomorrow..Any tips??

It will be on my 4 poster we have here at work and I have freakishly hobbit sized hands so im hoping I should be ok??

Seems the worst part is the nuts on the manifold end??

  Nothing at the mo :(
me and nick found it ok on my 182.. just a bit fiddly if your doing it under the car while its on axel stands

Lots of WD40 and new bolts when you refit the cat.

Took me and saner 40 minutes to do it on axel stands. Easy!

2 people, selection of extensions and wobble joints, and it's not TOO bad. Had Adeys de-cat on in about 3 minutes after he'd been swearing at it for 20 LOL

Well I failed.

Couldn't get the front lambda sensor out for s**t. Was in the garage today so got them to do it.

They used 2 replacement lambda's As didn't want them to snap off in the de-cat, and put my standard cat back on for £30. Happy with that.

Plus they managed to fit my driveshaft.

Huh funnily enough it was a "Gray Motorsport" de-cat :)

I would of been fine yesterday had it not been for the front lambda :(

the sensors are a pain in the ass, once you crack them open they just come out but its the cracking them open part which is hard.

Cheers mate, can you PM me a price you are after so I can keep it in mind please :)

I've got a Gray-Motorsport de-cat sat in my garage now ;)

Is that a broom job one or a true de-cat pipe:rasp:

I had decat fitted yesterday and took a mechanic friend about twenty minutes, but 182's are easy!

When the exhaust isn't hot!!!!
