cdr disks wont play

why doesnt my clio 172 standard cd player recognise the cdr music cds ive created?? any ideas??

not sure, have the discs been finalised and are they definately audio format and not data (i.e mp3/wma)?

Problem with your computer software maybe?

My discs have always been fine, even those in the cd changer.

standard audio files i would imagine in order to play on a standard headunit.

I use nothing but CDR's in my standard HU!

If you have something like Nero on your PC they need to be burnt as an audio disk.

yeah cdrs work but not if the file are mp3s or wmas

Indeed. Wouldn't have thought they'd play mp3 files.

mine doesnt either, i dont think the standard unit is cdr compatable, it may play them but f**ks the laser up....

I only use cdr's and never have a problem . If the standard headunit won't play audio files on a cdr try changing the brand . I always go for ones that have the ritek dye ( dark purple ) .

Some writable CDs just cannot be played (usual the cheap stuf)

CDRW are a complete no no on the normal unit the canger taks them though,
