change of box. now engine wont spark?

changed box
started up was fine
then just died
then start up again then died again.
then just wont start.
theres no spark.
so it turns over now.
then just stops turning over and cuts.

any ideas?
relay?
wiring?

which relay is to the coilpack?

sounds like you need a decent mechanic to work on your car with all the problems your having!

guarantee you've left one or more earth straps off

As in you made sure the plug was pushed fully home as if it wasn't the initial start up could of vibrated it enough to break the connection which would result in the lack of spark

Had similar problems when I fitted a C20XE lump into an Nova, spent ages trying to fix it and it turned out the earthing strap bolt wasn't done up properly

I take it the imobiliser light stays solid?

Coil pack is powered from the fuel pump relay so if the pump runs you can discount that. Got to be the little earth wire from back of gearbox left off

Clio 2's go crazy when the battery has gone flat. The ECU seems to loose the imob code. The imob light stays solid and the starter cranks and then stops itself after 1 second.

If you get in the car, close the door, turn the ignition on for 30 secs, then off, lock and unlock the doors and start it. Should work
