Changing hazard switch to a toggle

I'm in the process of making a switch panel for my track car, the only switch I'm wanting to keep is the hazard switch.

I went to Halfords and bought a 17amp rocker switch and set about wiring it, from looking at wiring diagrams I believe the orange cable is the supply, pink the load and black earth. I must be doing something wrong because it didn't work I even tried swapping the pink and orange cables around with still no luck. I'm starting to think I need a certain type of switch. Any help would be appreciated.

Managed to get it sorted, for future reference you need to use the pink and black cable.
