Cheaply sprayed 0z Tourismo's/ Limp mode

Well started last thursday got a set off gd old stealy's and started to sand down my oz Takes the P**s to do right with the groves. I spent £27 all together on all primer all Gloss black and lacuer.

Then got round to primering all wheels.

Then after primer used 1200 wet and dry for paint to stick.

Then after all of this my car decides to go into limp mode on a dual carrig way GREAT!!! stuck at 1.7k I have a decat but bin on for 2 months now and bin no promlems

Sorry about this pic but it the coil light in the middle of the dash never come on before only when limp mode,

Wa could be the Symtons for this ?

wheels look nice.

iirc the last 1.2 16v i had in that was in limp mode the throttle body had failed. when you get this replaced you need to inspect the wining harness where it goes onto the ecu.

you can tell if the throttle body is broken. if you manually open it to full throttle position (with ignition off) it should spring back. if it dont bin it.

unfortunately the inlet manifold has to come off :(

Well it was weared i was driving down a38 and a car braked a head of me so i brake droped it down into 4th and there was no power stuck at 1.7k gutted. u may be right about the throttle boddy but it feels fine tbf.
If it does need changing do u think i will be able to put a 54 plate on wards on as I think they clocked on to this problem by changing them ?

looks good mate, mine went into limp mode on a peterbough meet not so long ago as well


From what ive found out it could iver be Throttle pedal sensor or Throttle body its self stressed me out got a police escort doing 5mph all the way down a38-2mile to get into a layby.
It's being tested tuesday but want to no symtons so i can price up wa i need to buy.

in my renault mechanics opinion it will be the throttle body, i have been known to be wrong now and again though.

Ohh dear then ive had the box at the back off the inlet manifold come loose be for and cutt some wires which made the car very juddery and would not go over 2-3k im just guna check them ass it may be the cheapest option other wise just guna have to be diagnostics.

Just had it diagnosed--- It turns out to be a throttle pedal isue.

Were is the cheapest place i can get this ?

The problems still happen on this model too! Used to occur randomly on mine. I know folk who've had the throttle body and pedal changed and it's made no difference. I think it's a wiring issue.

I hope its not dude asss its never happend before just the one time but i shell change it and see wat its saying.
