Found a couple of nice Ph1 172's on eBay and thought I'd share!

The second one is close to me! both f**king horrible. i might buy the second one though and strip the lot off as i am wanting a track car and that is cheap. ive seen it around too. what do ppl rekon?

If it weren't for all the boy racer s**t it would probably be a nice car. It's got service history and the cam belts been done so that's always good! Defiantly worth buying as a track car I recon as you could probably strip most of the stuff of it and sell it to get your money back if it sells for under 1k.

Legally yes because once an item is won on eBay both parties have then entered a contract and at the end of the day if he wanted a certain amount for it he should of put a reserve on it! In reality though he'd probably make some excuse not to sell it to you and unless you took him to court don't think you'd get very far!

For those interested I asked the dude selling the 2nd beauty I listed the following:

"What service history has the car got please...dates, mileage done, by whom etc? Also when was the cam belt done and by whom? Any paper work to prove it has been done? Also any previous damage to the car i.e. has it been written off cat. d or c and is the hpi clear??"

I got back...

"The car is hpi clear has 8 stamps in book i did the cam belt myself at 75k miles"

Dunno about everyone else but that would put me off buying this if he has done the cambelt himself...if it's been done at all!

£200 for a set of 172 wheels off the bay.
£100 for bumper
£500 for Belt change at Birchdown/BTM

£1600 for a 172 you could probably sell on for £2k+ ?

I mean how can you take what already looks like a good car and make it look utterly shocking. it actually makes me laugh when i think someone has spent the time and money to make a car look worse lol and the red steering wheel???? LMAO

If he lives nearby to you why not pop around and ask if you can give it the once over. I bet if you made him an offer there and then with cash he wouldnt refuse. I wouldnt fancy driving it home tho, trailer perhaps? :lolup:
