Cherry Red 172

I bought this 172 the other day. I've not seen any in this colour before, seems really unique. It's got a strange 16v badge on the back too, anyone know what it is or whether it has been stuck on after it's original release??

Cherry red is a non sport colour, has it been in a bump or something and been resprayed? def not a standard colour. The 172 red is flame red and its not that by the looks fo it. The badge has been stuck on too. Looks like a really nice example though!

its coming up as a red 172 on the reg check. Must have been crashed, owner saw how much te cost of flane red paint it (its a two stage colour like liquid yellow) and thought sod that just have something similar.

cat-c/cat-d likely by the sounds of it, if it was smashed up enough to warrant a full respray anyway.

looks like it had a recessed exhaust fitted at some point too, now theres just a whole in the bumper, lol.

Lol, sheesh, lots of replies already. I did a HPI on it when I bought it and it says it's never been crashed, written off or resprayed. And is definately Red. I think the lighting on the camera was bad because the "flame red" example up there looks very much exactly the same. =/

The guy had a custom exhaust on it before and took it off for a standard one that rattles. =[ Gah!

It does have xenon lights too. Lol, so whoever said it didn't is wrong! =P Lol. The CAF in the bumper is also an after market thing aswell as the ariel, which is a nice touch.

Couldnt care less if it has Xenons or not, I think that's a nice motor.

Even if it's been crashed, looks like whoever has had it before you has spent a lot of time and effort on getting it looking as though it never had been, that isn't necessarilly a bad thing IMO.
