Look at the rear lights on the car behind, they are supposed to be proper red, but instead they are similar to the car in question, dodgey pic i would say

They wouldn't have resprayed the bay as you'd have to take everything out first, so as Rich says you need a pic of the engine bay and the outer showing at the same time.

id still want to know why it doesnt have the factory fitted,
expensive to replace in a crash, headlights!

Same here, and look at the upper front crossmember. Looks rather rippled along the edge, I know mines nothing like that its smooth. My moneys still on bumped and repaired on the cheap.

That has been smacked about a bit for sure, badly hammered into shape by the looks of it.

IMO that has deffinately been in a crash with the lack of xenons and dodgy respray in a cheaper alternative to flame red.
Whoever fitted that max power induction kit hasn't got a clue and it will be down on power.
To confuse things even more, HID's are not the same as xenons LOL.

My mate recently had (and sold) a 172 that had been rolled and repaired, that was HPI clear too (yours will have just not gone through the insurance more than likely like his, hence it being HPI clear).

I can bet you 99.9% of people who have there wits about them wouldn't buy that.

The original post asked whether he had xenons or not... The answer is... He has HID's. Xenons are bulbs... HID's are bulbs filled with a gas, which creates the light. And... The clusters on the front of my car are off a trophy... There are some pictures of a red trophy on the clio forum somewhere... Check out his lights, they're the same as mine... Xenon buls, and normal lenses.

Trophies do not have xenons either. They use regular Halogen lights. They can put Xenon bulbs in but that really is just a regular halogen with a bit of xenon gas added as well. All the bulbs are filled with gas normal halogens included.

HID's which is what you should have fitted however contain gas as well but they have no filament in the bulb. Instead they work by striking an arc between 2 electrodes.

Yours has likely been in an accident and has some £10 xenon bulbs put in with the cheap clusters. Rather than the expensive clusters and the £100+ bulbs put back in.

Whats even more curious is you are saying you have got noises when decelerating. This could possibly be related to the crash damage. The lack of HID's and the fact the upper front crossmember is a bit battered would suggest it has been in an impact. I would be getting the car checked out if I was you. And be having a not so pleasant word with the previous owner for not disclosing the damage.

there is no difference in the lights off a trophy than ones off a 1.2 8v authentique! So stop trying to prove that you have renaultsport lights off either the cup or the trophy as theyre not

Wheres the rubber strip that should go along the top of the front crossmember? And why is it rippled?
