Originally joined CS with my RB 182 cup, had it for the best part of 4 years and up until the end enjoyed it lots. Il come clean it was FUBAR'd, the gearbox was on its way out (again) me and my mate had spent 3 weekends trying to tie up loose ends on it before I chopped it in for a Fiesta ST. I always told myself that i would keep the ST till i turned 25 then get something like a M3, but after realising I hadn't got a penny to my name and time is getting on a bit I decided to sell it to free up some money and start saving for my own place. So Saturday I sold the Fiesta at a cheap price to get it gone then today 24/04/12 I bought a PH1 172. So on to the PH1, Well bought it for £1300 knowing it needs a bit of TLC. Paint work is Mint or will be after a good wash. All standard on the outside bar the black alloys, don't know if they will stay black? Modifications wise its got a K-tec Stealth and a silenced centre section. It needs form what I can see a new spare wheel, the passenger door wont open from the inside, sounds like a wheel bearing. Not too sure on the belts. Not been serviced from what I can see in around 24k. So will be trying to sort the door out asap then taking it to Rentech to have a big service and MOT, And possibly the belts doing :S. Plans (once the service and MOT is done) is Clean plates as there is some love poem on the bottom of them , re trim the steering wheel, possibly respray the wheels silver, cup spoiler.

All in all im chuffed to bits

So started to have a look at the car properly now. Got the passenger side door handle off to find its broken so got another set off of failsport, cheers guys. There still in the very attractive blue Got a list together of the bits that need doing;

Sort out door handles
Washer pump clogged up
Spare (OZ) needs new tyre
Passenger speaker doesn't work
In major need of a service and MOT and possibly belts

Other than that its cracking. Jacked up last night to see if its been lowered and it looks like it had but the springs are very rusty so was hard to tell.

Sorted the washers last night also got insurance sorted so took it out for its maiden trip to Goodwood.

Will get it booked in for the service and belts this week

Gonna have a clean out of the garage tomorrow got far too much RS paraphernalia and also ST crap lying about. May swap the discs over from the drilled i have on the car now to the Brembo max grooved items iv got laying around. Alot of it is heading your way tho mate

Had the clean out Found all sorts including my old brakes off the 182 including some braided lines, they can go on at some point. Set about trying to find out what was wrong with the speaker today so ripped it out to find it was a Focal speaker with 2 red wires coming off the back. Whipped out the head unit and found 2 sets of speaker cable spliced on to the back. Followed the cable to find these lurking under the dash

Then the other one with this wire having been pulled out so remade the connection and its all working again

The cars off to Rentech tomorrow for a well overdue service, belts and a wheel bareing or two :S Then hopefully once Mike has worked his magic I can get it MOT'd on Friday.

Would love to be updating this thread with my attempts to spruce up the engine bay but as I lifted the bonnet I noticed the coolant bottle was empty ! Looked under the car but as its wet its hard to tell. Had a bit of a poke around under the airbox and noticed a large amount of water and moisture on the lower radiator pipe, Hopefully it is just that, as its just came back from Rentech with a £1200 bill ! Will let my mate have a look tuesday whilst its having the MOT.

Passed the MOT today with 4 Advisory's, all being rusty springs that I want to change anyway

Sadly the radiator is p*****g water out the bottom Is going back in tomorrow hopefully to be changed.

Treated the car to a decent tax disk holder

So the car went back in Friday. Mate whipped off the bumper to find the condenser for the A/C is broken and has been smashing into the radiator causing it to leak. Sadly they couldn't get a replacement in quick enough so will be doing it this coming week at some point. Got it back home and decided to spray the fuel rail guard and the inlet with some paint i had knocking around and to also put the carbon cover i had left over from the 182 on. Then gave it a clean and popped up GoodWood this morning to grab some pics.

Other plans are to get some Eibach Springs on as the ones on there at the moment are rusty and a bit to soft. Possibly get some new Pads and Disks and fit the braided lines I have in the garage as the current setup is pap. And rip out the A/C and replace it with the Cup setup that i also have in the garage.

No chance they cost more than the car ! Saying that the service it had nearly cost as much as the car :quiet:

Oh want to get another set of wheels first and get some decent rubber for the F1's

Picked up a set of Renault 19 alloys Vegas ? For the sum of £46 ! Need to get another Pirelli P6000 and get them swapped over from the F1's then want to get the F1's sprayed and get some decent tyres for them.

Also having found some braided lines in the garage I got a set of Carbon Lorraine pads and a set of Brembo HC discs. Dont know what setup is on there at the moment but is pap.

And also ordered a Whiteline ARB

Will possibly get the brakes done this weekend and then will have to fit the 172 cup aircon removal stuff soon. The rad was changed and the condenser taken out as it had split in to two pieces ! Got quite a big list of things I want to do now so keep your eyes peeled

The car got jacked up last weekend with the intention of swapping the tyres about during the week. But had alot to do at work so never got round to it. Hoping to get them done tomorrow. Also got some 2nd hand H&R's The fronts had just been refurbished by BTM and am just waiting for a free weekend with my mate so we can fit everything that is piling up in the garage.
Which is :

Whitline ARB
Brembo disks
CL Pads
KTR braided lines
H&R's
Renault 19 alloys

Also want to take the acoustic valve off so will be whipping the bumper off either today or tomorrow

You don't need to take the bumper off to remove the acoustic valve. Let me know if you want me to come round to help.
