Clean 197

  Liquid 182
I got a Megs G220 Polisher for Christmas from my lovely girlfriend and ever since ive been trying to use it as much as I can.

Starting to see some results now and im improving in my opinion, just need to try out a few more products.

Tim off the site asked me to have a go cleaning the 197 for him, as he mentioned (very quietly) he has never polished it in all the time hes owned it! Which is over a year now!
Im not great at taking pics of swirls etc so these were the best I could come up with, you can clearly see how scratched and faded most of the panels were. Poor thing was in desperate need of TLC!

So roughly 6 hours later (was on a time limit and had to rush it) heres how it turned out...

G220 is a great investment! I've used the PC alternative that a friend of mine owns, and in my opinion the vibration it gives off is much much less on the G220. Which is a pretty good advantage when your holding onto the damn thing for 4-5 hours straight!
Also you don't need to lug around a big transformer which is handy if your travelling around with it.

Gorgeous little car, sits perfect on the H&R's and with the Yozza just fitted it sounds fantastic!

Big thanks to Mr Harry for doing this! He's only had the G220 since Christmas and he's already a dab hand at it! His Liquid Gold 182 is a prime example of how to detail correctly!

Mortimer - Yokos are rubbish! Sadly I sent the wife off to my tyre dealer to get new rears with the strict instructions to "get Goodyear Eagle F1s"

Women....

I've a feeling the Yokos were put on the rear by mistake by his wife.
He wanted F1's to match the front lol.
So, don't know if he'll be able to comment on how they handle!

Edit: LOL beat me to it...

good results. Quite fancy one of those polishers but I've heard horror stories of amateurs damaging paint using them - has put me off tbh.

Nothing to worry about with a Random Orbital polisher lads...
Its the Full rotary ones that can damage and potentially burn through paint.
The Porter Cable/G220 is pretty much idiot proof to be honest, have a good read up on detailingworld.com, great advice on there!
