cleaning engine bay

  Monaco 172
Elbow grease.

WD40 on plastics to give them a little shine if your a cheap skate.

Metal polish on any metals.

It's quite frustrating cleaning the engine bay as theres lots of tight spots that are difficult to reach and obviously a lot of wiring so you have to be careful and becomes quite tedious imo, the result is worth it though.

I used AG Engine and Machine cleaner along with WD40 which produces surprisingly good results.

I don't mean to sound rude, but if you aimed the washer directly at the plug holes, what do you expect??

AG Engine and machine cleaner, Aerospace 303 to dress plastics, Cloth and a toothbrush... Oh and s**t loads of patience. You need to break it down into sections and do it bit by bit.

Rag and a spray bottle of APC if it isn't too bad. If it's never been done you're going to need a while...

Aye APC isn't too bad! Although even with a strong dilution its not That good on oil and the rest of the crud. Good for a tidy up though!

Some sort of degreaser, I.e. AG engine cleaner.

All perpose cleaner like Tescos daisy.

Spray bottle, Old microfibres, Some brushes etc.

If your going to jetwash it ive heard you should cover up the electrics with plastic bags, And leave the engine running whilst your doing it.
