Clio 1.2 16v Stop Light, Brake Light, Loss of Revs

I was driving my car normally last night in 5th gear doing about 55mph and suddenly i had a loss of power for a second or to, saw the rev counter go down and the stop light and brake light come on. The rev counter returned to normal when i got the power back but the lights stayed on.

I pulled the car over and turned it Off and then On again and everything was fine.

Can someone please help and tell me what could be wrong?

i'd get a computer plugged in see if the problem has been logged.

check the realy for wet etc and good conncection

check the spark plugs and all visiable earthing leads.
