whats the difrence in profomance in these to cars 0-60 and top end
to be honest mate f**k all noticeable.
Theres no difference, i have a 1.4S and my mate has the 1.4RT and they are both as fast as each other...
his is a little nippyer cos hes still got standard wheels on, and i have alloys, but apart from that there is no difference.
(ours are mk1/ph1s, but its the same for all the mk1s)
i thought it would have bin a littel buit quicker to 60 becouse of the closer gear box
peak torque is 3500rpm iirc so doubt a close box would help much?
My 0-60 is somewhere between 9 and 11 secs, i recorded it and playing it back on the PC showed 9.2secs 0-60, 12.0secs 0-70 so its somewhere around there.
I will try and get some slightly more accurate times when i get my gtech, still no where near as accurate as going the pod, but much better than a stopwatch, recording etc.
I had to choose between a 1.4S and an RT, S had 30K more miles and the RT had standard spoiler and alloys anyway
