clio 1.8 16v gearbox problem

hi, i have a 1.8 16v clio, i have just done the gearbox, well where the bolts from the gearbox mount go into the gearbox the thread inside the gearbox has shredded off, does that mean i need a new box? and i have heard a 172 box goes straight in? is this true? hope you can help thanks

try pulling the remainder out.

172 box or any jb3/jc5 fits you need to sort a speedo output though.
