Clio 172 cam belt change

Recently bought a 172 clio sport its had a new engine as the old one had a knocking bottom end the engine thats been put it has 18k on it and was stored in a garage for around 5-6 years the guy used to race clios and this was one that wasent killed on the track wonderding if the belt will need done and also where to get info on doing it i am a mechanic but have never changed one of these belts before and fancy giving it a go any help is much appriceated thanks .

Definitely get it done.

Wouldn't do your self unless you're in possession and competent with Renaults locking tool as the timing has to be precise

I am in no rush to do the job as have another car to drive atm where would i find the genuine renault tools iv saw some of the specialists on this use aftermarket ones i have no problem doing the job have a full up and running garage at my disposal as im a mechanic just want to be pointed in the right direction and to see if it needed done thanks for your reply

Renault is the cheapest place for genuine tools.
