Clio 172 CO2 & tax band

I've just got my first tax renewal through for my Clio 172 and it is £270 a year to tax or £148.50 for 6 months.

Both my V5C and tax reminder have the CO2 as 273 grams per km whereas Parkers has it has as 194 grams per km. 273 g/km seems stupidly high, probably the same as some Porsches etc.

Just wondering if my documents are out or if its just Parkers figures. What has everyone else got on their V5Cs or tax reminders? Just don't want to be paying too much for my tax as it is expensive enough!!

My car is a 2002 registered 51 plate Clio 172.

Any help would be great

It's 194g/km but i'm sure I paid £260 last time,
so it's entirely possible it's gone up since then it does every year.

Yep, its cheaper to tax a mitsubishi L200 warrior than my clio, obviously the clio is far more harmful to the enviroment than a dirty great oil burning pick up

I taxed mine for 12 months @ £250. 6 months was £134.50.

Dont understand why people's are more costly?

Mine is the same as that when taxed in january.

Mine was the same and I just renewed on March 1st (£134.50 per/6 months)

Why is there variances on the same car?

Don't know how my CO2 can be so much higher? Are other people's V5Cs showing 194 g/co2? Just feel like I'm getting ripped off, will try ringing DVLA but not sure what they will say??!! I know its only £20 but its money I shouldn't be paying from the sound of it

Mine is definitely 194g/km and I too paid £250 for 12months. I hope that this 273g/km on your logbook is only a typo!
