Wait 3 years, move away from Bristol and you should find something under £1000 from a specialist insurer such as Greenlight, Flux HIC etc...

mate youre 19 youve had an accident that was claimed against (in a small car) youve been done for speeding in a small car and now youre asking your insurance companys to insure you on a 7000 pounds sport car thats a group 16 insurance i tink your 1.2 is probs a group 3 or 4 max what did you expect???

if i was in youre shoes thats what id expext as well, youre classed as a young inexperineced driver till 20 odd

iam 25 have 3 years nc -- no accidents claims ever -- no speeding tickets etc--my insurance was 520 fully comp on a 3500 pound car (172 ph1) or 589 fully comp over 12 months --that was cheapest from norwich union marks and sparks wanted 1700 pound for me as did aa

you probs could get it down a bit but at the mo youre seen as a risk on the road 1 yr nc bonus is squat diddly really when you say youve had 1 claim and 3 points allready

time is the key mate 21-25 will be much better if you dont claim get dun for speeding etc

whys a 53 plate 172 valued at 7k? surely it should be more like the 5-6K mark for a lowish mileaged one, if that provided of course that it is standard

i managed to get insured with admiral, 0 NCB, 21, 1.5k.

yep,claim is the killer. Wait a couple years for it to drop off. In the main time get something middle of the road, saxo VTR, 1.6 clio etc

this is why i didnt claim when i had a crash in my first year i knew it just wasnt worth claiming in the long run , insurance is a scam because if you ever claim you end up paying for it!

u need to wind your neck in, most insurers wont insure any1 on a group 16 car unless they r 21

plus u dont hve a clean license

n uve been claimed againest

be lucky u hve insurance at all

Even if i take off my points and crash it still around 4k so it doesnt make that much dif, just read a few people on here 19 1yncb and clean lisence getting insurence on a 172 for about 1.6k maybe is it the area?

Why not get a lower insurance group car for a bit, build up some ncd, turn 21 & then try back on a 172 ???

im 20 with 1ncb clean license and no claims, got quoted on a 182 with unlimited mods for 2.2k, living in a shitehole band F area, they knocked it down to 2k for having passplus. Which i didnt think was too bad considering the best quote i got was 3.5k before someone recommended Brentacre to me.

looking at new deals myself, best so far £740 - with direct line 12 month fully comp. 23 1 NCB not to bad i think.
