Clio 172 Power

Hi we have recently had a clio 172 in on our dyno and it seems to be making more power than it should . It made 155 bhp at the wheels with a typical 15% drivetrain loss that works out to be 183bhp ??? I have a clio 172 cup and that only made 164bhp @ the flywheel on our dyno so i know it is reading correctly, i was just wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with these clios coming out the factory with more power than figures suggest? They vary alot, but there's nothing to say those rollers are 100% accurate either, so if it feels fast then be happy

Much more common for them to have less power than more from what I've seen.

Hi i agree with what your saying but i know the dyno we have only just had it calibrated and we have run other clios on it and like most clios they run less than standard, this could just be a freak of a clio haha

Sorry its my retardedness lol its 159.7bhp @ wheels , gonna post up both graphs now from the 172 thats 183.6bhp and my cup thats 166.8bhp

Hi i think you maybe right, when the car got into high revs the speedo kept packin up so it would have swaped maps to suit.

I meant cam timing. I had one come in at 158bhp and the crank was 8 degrees out.
