Clio 172 road rally car

  Clio 172
@Filters the basic safety equipment in your shell should be applicable to many disciplines. But as you say, there's a major difference in spec between racing and rallying, and different categories within each. There's the new Motorsport News rally series, all run at race tracks. The Clio should be very enjoyable on those events, but unfortunately tarmac rallying is all about who has the most money these days. That's why I'm focussing on events with more standard cars where the driver and navigator make the difference.
Tell me more about the solenoid. Could it fix my door open warining light?

If you have a look on the front of the casing you'll see the model code of the box mate. If it says 'jc5 130' which I suspect it will, then yes it's a 182 box. Possibly an early twin taper bearing 130 box.

I'm a truck mechanic as well! Who do you work for?
You were correct its stamped jc5 130. Does this mean I have 182 driveshafts or are they all the same ?

Ok I'll cross that bridge when I get there. This gearbox may only be a temp thing, if I enjoy the rallying I will get another box build with a cwp and diff of some sort
