Clio 172 Vs FTO

Yesterday I had a FTO trying to weld it's self to my rear bumper on the way to the mall.

I knocked it into third and started to pull away through the bends, but he kept trying to race me at every set of traffic lights and it was a struggle off the mark to get away.

My mum had a FTO MVEC 197bhp but it was triptronic which let it down and my Clio definately felt quicker. I know they did a rubbish 1.8 125bhp and a 2.0 V6 177bhp non MVEC too.

Has anyone else had a race with an FTO?????

had a play with one the other day, not that impressed with them to be honest not sure what engine it had in it tho

the manual v6 mivec's are supposed to be ok, but i know the tiptronic ones arent as quick as a 172 at all. Make a nice little noise though

Yeah they do sound nice due to their little 2.0 V6.

They do rev like hell, I think it was upto 9K.

I had a run with one at Santa Pod a few years back. Me in a new 172 him in an FTO GP-R MIVEC with decat and induction kit. Right click save as.

I had the same mate. Guy giving it large at the lights, i will easily the quickest in a straight line, and then he decided to get on my arse, dropped down to 3rd, and we hit a few bends, it was as good as over from that point. I sniggered at him at the lights, cos i know they're cack.
