Clio 182 battery??

I have a clio 182 it didnt start the battery seemed to be dead so i wacked another battery i had around and 1st time it started! checked the other battery while it was out car and was showing a good charge in it !!
i then left the cr for a week and came back nd it started first time but then drove it just up and down the road left it for the evening and went to start it and it was dead again??! hmmm... what do you guys think problem is?? termials? or bad earth or alternator? or worse??? o also would start straight away if i put jump leads to it!!

Id check the chare rate first, get a multi meter and measure the battery voltage while the engine at fast idle (2000rpm) and loads on (headlights, blowers etc)

Should read 13-14.5volts. If not then you have a charging problem.

Sometimes the main terminal breaks off the alternator
