So, thanks to the buying guides and info on here, we finally sorted a 182 for the other half...
It's an 04 with both cup packs, FRSH (with the all important cambelt change), 60K miles, 12 months ticket. Very good overall, just needs a few odds and ends doing cosmetically which meant we got it for £4150.
Jobs to to:
- Rear bumper respray as it has a couple of scuffs
- New standard number plates as these are a little scabby
- Wheel refurb as they've been done badly and have kerbing
Other than that, it's bob on!
So, thought i'd start on the wheels...
Kerbed!
Popped off the diamonds...
On with the filler...
Rubbed down and the whole surface keyed...
This was continued until perfectly smooth then masked up..
A quick dusting of primer...
plenty of coats of paint (mixed to the proper Ixell paint code), lots of laquer with the old hairdryer trick inbetween..
Would have been rude not to clean up the arch while waiting for it to dry...

Then it was on with the wheel...
Going to wait a couple of weeks then flat it back with 1500 grit and a good polish up and it should be good as new. One down, three to go although they aren't as kerbed so should be easy!
