Clio 182 Spare Wheel - is it ok

Hi again...

Sorted a new alloy and tyre for £80 today (one off bargain!).

All wheel and tyre dimensions identical to my original 182 wheels, APART from the offset (spares 38 instead of original 48)....

Wheel fits and all.

Will the smaller offset cause me future probs, or is it ok to ride 500 miles while exaltos on order?

How are you planning on carrying it about? In boot tied down?

ive been thinking about a spare in the boot too - especially for long journeys... must the tyre as already questioned be the exact same size? Hope someone can help.
