Clio 182 - the definitive list

Just getting on sorting this list out, here is how it is so far. Not all the dealers have gotten back to me, tho there are about 15 parts claims, maybe more to be added to the list. Not got it with me, tho the car needs to go to renault again later in the week again.

In the life of a Renault Sport Clio 182

The Clio was purchased on the 30th December 2004.

Reg Vardy Renault, Sunderland

Investigate banging / clunking noise from the engine about 5,000rpm
Investigate top left engine mount out of alignment
Investigate brakes inefficient
Investigate car pulling to the right
Investigate unstable steering during heavy braking
Investigate STOP light ( (!) ) light coming on when car is banked over on slip road
Investigate rear windscreen washer inop
Investigate clunking when car has full lock on
Investigate SERV, ABS and ESP lights coming on intermittent
Investigate when cruise control is selected, indicated speed is higher than selected speed.
Investigate bumper trims around exhausts cracked

Dixon Renault, Lincoln

Car fails to start (Mum put diesel in it)
Heater system inoperative

Crystal Renault, Lincoln

Alternator area smoking, burning rubber smell
Car battery discharged
Buzzing coming from dash area
Investigate exhaust tail pipes hitting rear bumper
Slam panel area disturbed by AA man (Alarm sensor, catches damaged etc)

4th July 2005 – ECU wiring fault (Billinghay)
28th Oct 2005 – Alternator Drive Belt
27th Nov – Alternator (A1) – hire car, etc
29th Nov – Alternator (Recovery to Renault)
30th Nov – Alternator (Recovery to Renault)
21st Jan 06 – Bonnet Catch



Wanna buy me clio, nearly a new car.. Needs the exhausts trims replacing again..

Crystal Renault Boston. Mechanic lives outside the camp, said he'll collect it in the morning if needed, he's about 35-40 ish, seems a good guy. Smaller dealer so more one on one with the mechanic. And they live off your car, well im sure they could build a new showroom with what ive give them to do. Also, its in Boston, out of camp, to the garage, turn right, down that road, over bridge, to huberts bridge crossing and left...just down there on the left..nice place...

Im still looking for me Polo TDi. Seen a red i yesterday, so im thinking hmm....im driving about with me V5 in me car, got a week off to shop for a new car. Think the clio is due to go..

i had last week off to get an other car cos ill be driving from cranwell everday and i got my self a 406 turdo diesel tank nice and cheap and low mileage and works gonna give me £220 amounth for traveling
oil burners the wasy ahead me thinks
my brother inlaws got a 160bhp diesel focus tdci it well quick how about some thing like that

Oh joys of renault i feel for you mine has been in 4 times for the same fault to no avail.

Hate the focus.. Either a new clio, or a polo..

Just gotta find a 54 plate on, or newer for the price of me clio...
