clio 182 wont start

my Clio 182 wont start just get a click off the starter when I bump start it the battery light and stop light flicker any suggestions

even with jump leads onto another car its not starting

nah immobiliser light is flashing like it should

So if it wont jump start off another battery, immobiliser isn't freaking out, next stop is starter motor if it's just clicking.

I did think that but when I bump start it the battery lights flickering didn't think the starter motor would cause it to do that

I might still be the battery you know, you'd be surprised how many problems they can cause,
so did it start when you bump started it?

I don't mean to sound like a dick or anything so I apologise in advance, but you do know the difference between bump starting and jump starting right?

yeah I know the difference with jump leads on the starter was still just clicking then when you bump star it it starts but the battery and stop light flicker on and off

If it's bump starting and the light's flickering then your battery's f*cked.

sorry worded that wrong jump leads on the battery and ill try another battery on it

I had a problem with mine once where it would intermittently start, sometimes firing up perfect sometimes battery was totally dead, turned out my aux belt was slipping because of a dodgy alternator bracket, it wasn't charging the battery properly and it also knackered the alternator in the end, got it all fixed along with the cam belt and all sorts of other stuff, then a month later I started playing up again because the battery had been flat and recharged too many times, if they're on their way out battery's can cause all kinds of problems.
