Thanks Ali :) (Baileys16vbeast)

Also got a proper bee-sting aerial from Vauxhall for £9.99 :)

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

looks better but doesnt look as low as my -30mm spax ones?!

maybe just an eibach thing.

nice anyway!

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

the eibachs will need to settle, though they do tend to not lower as much as other manufacturers springs. they do, however, offer far supperior handling and ride comfort to other manufacturers

Doesn't seem to drop it massively. Get the kit on and get some tints

^

+1... not a massive drop...

What are they? 30mm?

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

they are pro-lines which are 30mm drop, but eibach do tend to need a while to settle, plus 30mm on the mk3 isnt that much of a drop

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

Should've went lower....

But if you're happy then thats all that matters. :)

this was only done to fill the arches better ;) which you can not argue it looks better then the 4x4

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

Thanks guys,

I haven't gone lower because I didn't want to enter the relms of changing dampers, camber angles going odd etc, plus as I have said before I carry ALOT of kit in my car due to my hobby and I didn't want it to handle like a bag of s**t when its full :) Being CS it was never going to be low enough :rasp: I have been putting them to the test and it feels fab going around corners.

It's already begun to settle, my aim with this was to be subtle and make it look a little more sleek and sporty than standard.

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

i just ordered some 35mm apex springs for my mk3, i hope it goes lower otherwise there is 90 quid p*ssed out the window!

do apex have a reputation of going lower than stated?

sorry for hijacking! :rasp:

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

Are they the KTR ones?

Mega happy with the Eibachs. I'm not going out with a measuring tape to be anul about if it has lowered to 28.786mm instead of 30mm. The car looks alot more sleek, is still comfy to drive and sticks to corners better. Job done :)

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

that's the spirit! The matter is that you like it terms of handling and look. About Apex, around here, they are known to be bit hard and 'dry'. H&R and/or Eibach are more expensive, but on the other hand they do not compromise comfort as much as apex do and they confer very good improvement in terms of handling.

keep the good job!

Cheers,

RM

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

Nah he interested in lowering his that all, we have examples of coils, 30mm and 45mm springs so will be good to see a sort of mid way option :)

Re: Clio 3 Project... On a budget :)

thats ok then!! thought he was being sarcastic :(

just got my delivery date of 12/06/08 so... they will be fitted this saturday and i will have pictures of before and after.

i just hope that the 35's drop it noticably (sp). Didnt want to spend 140 for 45mm so i went for the cheaper option.
