Clio Cup few questions

I just wondered how many versions of the clio cup have been released? is it still the same version selling as on release? when looking at 2nd hand cups i always see things like speedline alloys , scotch seats????? have these always been standard and in effect mean nothing?

I was also wondering if you buy an import do you get a 3 year uk warranty and is there any difference to the UK cups? I have seen so many 172s on sale on autotrader at prices i think are way to high considering you can get a brand new 172 for less than 11k, do people pay over the odds not realising the person is selling an import? A 2nd hand 172 with 10-20k on clock is worth no more than 8k in my mind. I cannot believe peopl eare getting the prices they are advertising at??

also: how much of a drop in the 2nd hand market for 172mk2s do people expect to see in the next month, considering its a buyers market and all

thanks in advance for any advance. I cant wait to get my hands on one of these babys since writing of my 1.6 dynamique + few weeks ago. Im gonna kill myself if i get a cup

There has been 1 cup model, no it depends on how much warranty the country its imported from provides, no difference, brand new for less than 11k is that from trade sales (Probably an import)? Maybe in your mind, but what are they book, check parkers or glasss guide for price, if they are selling for that its a sellers market, i hope you dont kill yourself in a cup they are pussy cats unless you stop respecting it like any sports car.

Nah, there has only been one "Cup" model (so far) and the Speedline alloys, seats, etc... are all standard items.

They changed a couple of minor things since the first cars, like clear side repeaters & de-locked one side, but theyre 99.9% the same.

However on the last few cars you could get silver paint and/or climate control as an option.

You cannot get an imported Cup mate, the Europan ones are called a "Jean Ragnotti" after the French rally driver who raced for Renault, so a Cup is a Cup only in the UK.

As for 172 prices, then yeah some are OTT especially if they are an import...

Prices could well start dropping though with the 182 on the way!

I thought the only difference between the cup and the ragnotti
was that the cup has the pillar badges &
the ragnotti has a name plate inside the golvebox
