And the car.... there are roughly 3 a week that end up in a ditch the winter, hence why they are more to insure than a 172.

0 ncd, but i'v had company cars accident free for the last three years, and i think that counts. I'm with privilege.

Bussiness use put my premium down by £90 I think it must be worked out on the fact i was doing a number of the miles i use my car for during bussiness hours and a lower % of accidents occur during this time.

Try adding it on even if you don't use it.

Try admiral, even tho they are the same co. as elephant I swap between them every year, the one i'm not with usually beats the other by 100.00.

660.00 - 27, 2 yrs no claims, theft claim 2 yrs ago (thieving b*stardos), 10k a year. Mrs reduces it by 70 squid which is surprising, shes older than me but only had a licence for a year.

Barclaycard and Adrian FLux also quote good figures for me, everyone else wants 1300 and above.

fully comp / 52reg 172 / 3yrs no claims / driving 8yrs / 26yrs old / 12k anuale milage / social & domestic + 1 place of work / garage & no mods

admiral wanted £850 for my renewal (even though it was £870 last year) and this was for 10 months cover

the next cheapest to greenlights light was £720 through adrian flux!

so im impressed with greenlight so far.

One thing to note with green light is that if your under 25 they wont offer to protect your no claims!

Just got an email from greenlight saying they wont insure Cups? is this true? Shall I pm Neil and see if he can look after me. I pay £700 atm but want that amount substantially reduced. Seems all cup drivers get tarred with the 'spacker driver' brush.

Greenlight will do all Clios apart from the Cup due to the high number of single vehicle accidents in Cups...ie Cup, meet tree...etc.

I know the feeling, the Cups are a pain to get a good deal with insurance wise, and I think if you have one at 20, then fair play, but you've gotta pay out. Its crap, but its the way it is!

Adrian Flux! 23, 5yrs no claims, standard 172 cup £537!

Putting my mum on brought it down by about £150!

I think if you put up 2 3 old people with full no claims + no points it will bring it down a bit.

Also when they ask if you drive other cars regularly say 'yes' brings it down a bit.

My renewal quote came thorough as about £700-750 (with adrian flux)
Got quotes from other companies all for a lot more, but thought id get a new quote from adrian flux as a new customer just 2 c if quote was the same. Got email back quoting me £633! was well chuffed!

Left it a couple of weeks + tried again putting my best quote from another company as £633, got a quote back for £537!!!

Didnt try pushing it anymore as i needed the cover to start, but dont know if wud of got even cheaper if i tried it again??

im with elephant and i got my cup when i was 20, 2 yrs ncb and they quoted me £1025 fully comp exc comm. the only reason i can think the quoted u £2020 is where u live? it sudnt be that much!!!! even after i lost my ncb when i was 21 it was still only £1300 with elephant!!!
