clio diesels, what they like?

after xmas ive got a new job and it involves about a 60 mile commute a day there and back, i have a mini one at the moment and i can just say get 70 miles out of a tenner! i wont be able to afford to put that much petrol in it to do that many miles, im thinking about trading in for a clio diesel or a cheaper diesel cos i still have my bike for speed so im not expecting and rocket ship for the amount i can spend, whats the average miles you mk2 ph2 clio diesel guys getting out of say £15? it will be mostly motorway miles, if not a clio can anyone recommend a different car maybe a megane or focus or something?

if your easy on it 60mpg isn't difficuly best drop ad a PM he'll most likly drive his easy I hammer mine all the time and thats gives between 50 and 55mpg.

If you want cheap motoring I'd try the last type diesel engine the last shape Clio came in 1.9 diesel spec which can be less problematic and least you don't need Renault to fix it as it more mechanical.
Otherwsie a Focus is a great buy Ok the pumps can fail but tere common cars so not as difficult to fix.

hi i have a 1.5 dci i can do about 650 miles on a tank . much better than the 182 i had lol
