Clio Fan

Quick question. Should the fan on a Clio keep spinning when the engine is switched off? If it is supposed to stay on how long does it stay on for? Ive never timed it.

Thanks

Mark.

Does it do it all the time?

It can but it has to be quiet hot the engine coolent to do it.

It can stay on for 12minues on the 172.

Id question whay a 1.2 would need to though.

Itll usually turn off once the temp guage drops below the 2/3 point.
Do you have a bonnet vent?
He shouldnt have that problem its a new shape 1.2 16V so the fan should only come on when the temp is very high and that radiator is fine for normal cooling.

The car doesnt have a bonnet vent. The temperature guage never goes more than half way and the temperature light has not come on.

Thanks

Mark

Does it only stay on if you have been giving the car a right bootful everywhere? or is it just under normal driving conditions too?

Cant say i have ever noticed mine staying on even after i give it stick, and mines only a 1.2.
