Clio III Dashboards

Car  Clio III
My Clio III currently has a beige 2 tone thing going on and frankly I think its hideous! :dapprove:

I am fitting a sport interior as soon as I can lay my hands on one, and changing all trims for black versions.

However, I have noticed that the 2 panels either side of the heater controls appear to be fixed to the dash itself so I am going to replace it for a soft version.

My questions!

1. Does anyone know of a good guide for removing the dash?
2. Is there anything I should know before diving in, like for instance that will I get ECU faults from unplugging the airbag?

Thanks as always!

Simple enough task on these cars tbh. I would advise you source the bodywork manual though which details exactly how this is done as plastic breaks and from experience isn't cheap to replace with new.

Its always the hidden bolts / screws that worry me! I don't want to be snapping any mounting points as I would like to sell the old dash!

When you say bodywork manual, do you mean a Haynes manual or is there something better available?

Thanks!

I can't condone the use of them but the Renault manuals are available to download or even buy on eBay... They will help you out a great deal.

Done! Piece of cake! Managed it in around 3 hours on my own in the dark with a torch lol Only thing that almost caught me out was the small earth cable on the airbag.
