Clio MK2 suspension in MK1 shell

Hello. I would like to know if mk2 suspension will fit the mk1 shell and braces straight in? Its not that they are better than the mk1's, its just that I want to put some coilovers on my mk1, and there is none for it. However, there are plenty for the mk2, so I want to know i the struts fit the mk1?
