Just got rid of my mk2 172 for a proper family car a skoda superb 1.9 tdi 130 and i must say the build quality of the skoda to the renault is about 10 times better not one rattle and for such a big car it goes pretty well.And the big plus it only costs 400 quid from jabba sport to get 190 bhp and 412nm torque and still get 50mpg.I enjoyed having the 172 for just under 3 years but did not enjoy many visits to the dealer for repairs.

My mate at work has a fabia vRS. He's got it re-mapped and no other mods and it goes like stink! When he got it, we went out for a 10 min drive in his car and then a 10 mins drive in my car on the exact same route. I have to say I don't think there was anything in it. 
I was pretty gutted tbh! I fecking fabia vrs for gawds sake. The economy figures he tells me about make me sick too! I thought my car rattled a bit but when I got in mine after going in his, I noticed it actually rattles a LOT!
