Clio PH1 Track Car Megane 225 Conversion

Always like to follow a home conversation thread. One day this conversion will be sorted and easy to follow thanks to brave guys love yourself.
What number plaque did the F1 have in it? Mine was 1160. Makes me sad to see them broken, except for a project like this[emoji106]

May have just been unlucky, either way it snapped clean on the weld. Ended up with customs shafts from Berrisfords

so, everything is in limbo at the moment while i try get a plan together so after a bit of advice on a few things.

So, popped the engine into the bay tonight to try and see how much of the chassis leg needs modifying so will get on with that. Annoyingly the vibratech mount from the clio fell into a load of pieces. So jigsaw puzzle of Megane spider mount and clio top half need putting together too.

Another little update:

So I managed to get the vibratechnics mounts off the clio tonight and onto the megane engine and block tonight, I then set about getting the engine in and positioned roughly to see how much of the chassis rail needed manipulating.

After putting the engine in and out a few times and marking the area with a sharpie I had managed to mark out and indent the area enough to allow the gearbox to clear the chassis by enough the get the engine bolted up on its mounts properly.

So now I need to mock up a front torque mount and rear dog bone. The engine will then be removed again, painted and finished off to hopefully be fitted for the final time.

So in other news I made a purchase off @dann2707 so now have a pedal box! So going to do a similar false floor idea to his which should sort the limited space there is for the downpipe with the master cylinder in the original location. Also sorts the hydraulic cutch on the megane box.

So that's It for now....Oh I bought an epas conversion too but might just loop the rack now and not have any P/S I'm not too sure...

Not really a progress update as im waiting on parts to arrive but interesting all the same. The lad i bought the megane off assured me there was good history with the car with invoices for a full engine rebuild around 30k miles ago. I took this with a pinch of salt as he didnt have the history to hand but said he would get a hold of it and message me....to my surprise he came through and the history was genuine, result!

What happened with this mate? I’m in similar situation with the management, what did chris recommend for over 12psi?
