Clio vehicle codes

ref to edde's thread here

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112411

my oval plate says my car is CB1C, that thread says its CB0M... i know of other Ph1 172's that are also CB1C... but both vehicle code's bring up parts for the Ph1 172, but with different part numbers.

eg:

CB1C gear knob:
82 00 208 088 KNOB G LEVER C3

CB0M gear knob:
60 00 073 675 GEAR LEVER C2

can anyone shed any light on the difference between the vehicle codes?

cb1c has a different engine code as well.
List of variants for most renaults is very large.
They may have different trim codes, engines, suspension and so on.

one looks like a gear levre and the other looks like a knob, prices accordingly lever is 65 odd quid, knob is 37 odd

There a load of phase 1 172 codes though CBOm is a common one but as Mike said there loads of others. There some with only one lambeda sensor for example.
