Clio weight thread....

Just a quick one, sorry if it is in the wrong section!

Had my my suspension fitted and set up yesterday, it was corner weighted too. It is a semi-stripped clio 172 (ph2). The total weight was 1151kg, that was with about 45 litres of fuel and me in it - I am 91kg btw. Is this good?

Accoring to Parkers, the standard car weighs 1035kg, I thought it was more?http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/Detail.aspx?deriv=21329

a 172 "FF" is 1110kg im 95% sure

That sounds about right.

1,110 kgs starting point, + 91 kgs for you, -50 kgs for some mild strippage = 1,151 kgs.

The williams 1 and 2 are both quoted as 990 kgs, but the williams 2 has very heavy door bars (at least 20kgs in weight) and extra sound proofing and so this is 100% not correct.

I wouldnt trust anything quoted from renault. Go with the weigh bridge.
