clutch gone at 30000

gents, my clutch is on its way out at 30000 miles on the 172. To me that seems a bit early, ive phoned renault who say ive got to pay for it to be stripped but if its manufacturer fault, i wont be liable for all costs, if its wear and tear, i pay it all and it aint cheap, especially compared to non-dealer garages. What ya think, take the risk and let them do it or is it worth arguing even.

Clutch life on the 172 is a problem they can go in 10k of hard driving and may last the life of the car is say my dad was driving.

But the clutch does suffer from failed seals sometimes and so this is a warently job. The only way of knowing is tohave it taken off. Dont let the dealers fob you of with o its whatever colour so you must have been driving it hard ie wear and tear so you have to pay. If the clucth is slipping when the peddle is up then it would discolour the clutch.

The flywheel is ALWAYS blue/hazy bronze.

The rear crank seal can go and put oil on the clutch plate, but then itll be slipping non stop and youd know.
