Cobra seats/subframes Q?

I've noticed on various setups that the seats can angle outwards at the top of the seat, like mine. Some I've seen are straight up like Steve's/sm_wrc.

Can you space the subframes to adjust the angle of the seat, is this safe? Might get a chance tomorrow as she's up on the ramps.

You can't really tell from this pic but the passenger seat definately leans towards the door more, ie looks less upright!

When you installed the subframes did you make sure all the circle bungs were in the chassis holes???

I took all mine out as I had one missing. - This could affect the stance. [ie some bumgs on the left side but non on the right]

I wouldnt jump up a notch on one side only on the side mounts as you will be twisting the mould and will eventually split.

Try looking at the mounting bungs first.


EDIT - I can see you mean spacers where the subframes meet the chassis? That would be OK as long as the spacers are not too thick and that the 12.8 grade bolts are long enough.

Oh they were fitted properly. I have a mate that works for Renault (and actually knows what he's doing!) so nothing was left out or missed.

I didnt think it would be a good idea to tamper with it. It's no biggy, I'm just picky.
