Ford Ka & clio Very soon
Hi all, right got my fk coilover kit today, highsports.
have fitted the rear no probs. all good there. onto the fronts, all the standard stuff off. removed springs from shocks and used the parts off the top.
here's my problem:

There is a visable gap between the top mount and the body. a good 7-8mm ish.
same for both sides.
The picture below shows the ride height of the car with the coilovers wound to thier maximum height! wont go much higher at all, maybe another 1-2mm! if i have it any lower then i cant even get under the with a jack! Not even close!

When i removed the standard suspension i took off all the bits i needed, used all the rubber parts, everything fro the spring cup (metal bit) upwards bascially, is that right?
this pic shows the coilovers when they came. on the threaded bar at the top (top mount part) there were two nuts on that, do i need to put one of those in? the picture below only really shows one nut but there is another on it, u can just see it.

And a pic of them fitted, the bit you adjust with the c spanners is right at the top of the threads. in this pic VVV it shows them half way!
