Coilover purchase time

Car  ValverInBits
Put yourself in my shoes. Coilovers for a MK1 hybrid (so that's williams suspension)

KW variant 2 - hoping for around £550 waiting to hear back
FK Konigsport (that's adjustable bump and rebound) £475
AVO - £450 iirc?

At the moment i'm thinking KW even though the adjustability isnt as good as the FK (KW are just rebound).

Thoughts? experiences?

Just off thoughts and no experience I'd go for KW Variant 2's I've not heard a bad word about them for other Makes and Models

cheers mate. A guy on WC.co.uk just managed to bend his FKs so that's what I'm thinking too.
But you can't try before you buy!

That would be nice wouldn't it LOL

I'd be off testing some H&R's. LEDA's and AST's if the Companies offered try before you buy.

I want Funds for AST's on my 182

There is a Number for Curtis in the AST GB Thread for 1*2's, Maybe try giving hima call as I know he has been away or something

just read a really good review of the KWs on VWVortex (US VW forum). They just sound well made with excellent weather resistance and good ride and control

i'd definately say the kw's.

i've had two cars on them now, a clio and a corrado. i've also driven a few cars using them, and they are by far the best setup i've experienced.
also the aftersales support is superb, you can have almost any combination of spring rate/length on (iirc) an exchange basis.

the only thing i would say is when i bought mine, they told me that the v2's were not ideal for SERIOUS track work.
