Colour coding central dash??

  Twingo Dynamique
So i got my new headunit fitted to day, and it's a glossy black... and looks really kinda out of place with the rest of the car!! :( (although i do love it already... :L )

So i was just wondering how easy it is to be able to get replacement central dash, (just the bits that go from cup holders, up to and around clock) and spray them to get them the same colour...? i'm assuming that i would have to make a template or other methoid such as stickers for the heater controls and hazard lights...?? and then how easy it is to refit/fit those components....??

cheers :)

Get it carbon fibre'd!!!
Never seen the centre dash colour coded, could look good i suppose.
Most of it just pops off down at the bottom, not sure about around the clock though you may have to take the top half of the dash off, which isn't that hard of a job

yeah i'm just worried that i'm going to have to buy a whole top dash (every mod i do i am doing with secondhand parts, so i can revert fully back to stock when i come to resell)

Colour coding looks good mate as long as u make a good job of spraying it haha!! I know its not a clio but heres a few pics of my saxo wen I had it coloured.

lol, i like that with the saxo it is just that facia that you can remove and swap around... its looking a lot more envolved with the clio... i'm gonna make that whole central bit match my headunit, gloss black, so will hopefully look ok! a fair bit of time and work though :) :L

Evening guys,

I've done this myself and colour coded the centre console and the tweeters in the dash. The top part is plastic welded on, which you can either leave stuck on and mask the dash up, or cut the weld joints and glue it back in place (had a play with a car in the breakers to work it out  ) Either way, the dash will need to come out.

Regarding the hazard light section, that is a case of teasing it out from the side, and removing the switches. The section underneath the dials is easy to remove too.

I haven't got around to finishing mine yet, especially with the dials, but there is a lip that blends the top part of the dash to this that gives a good visible finish and I would personally only go down to that.

Have a look at my thread if it helps:

I had the same idea as that, done the hazard switch surround, the little bit below the radio, the dash strips, my demister vent, speaker and tweeter covers then it came to the top part on the dash and I couldn't be bothered with the hassle lol maybe a summer project if I still have the clio.
