Colour of lambda (oxygen) sensor on removal

Just wanting to ask those who have replaced their lambda sensor what colour it was when they took it out. I expected it to be black and slightly oily but mine by light brown/cream coloured. I wonder if my engine is running too lean.

depends on the fuelling / set up of the car?

Light brown/cream coloured is fine. If it's as sooty as a chimney you've probably got an issue, likewise if it's spotless and bright white.

glowing orange.....I used a blowtorch to help loosen it lol
