Colours that will hold a premium in future?

Car  2015 ST2(MO)/CorsaLE
Inferno :approve:
liquid yellow
and gordini blue

??

:) as i see from a previous thread that gordini is getting rather rare these days......

Quite simple really, the least common colours.

Basically this. I'd like to think Sunflower holds a premium, but I think it's really an acquired taste. People like to look at it, but I don't think they see themselves driving one. Personally RB is my favourite colour, but I'm just not a fan of the Ph2. Maybe one day though.

Whatever there is least of?
Petrol. Lunar. Marmite brown.. I mean bronze.

Marmite brown is actually a good name for it! they might have sold more!

You seem to be able to get Marmite everything nowadays too.

But yeah, any colour there is short supply of really

Premium? Sorry do you actually think anything except the V6 will go up in value? Surely you're not that mental.

You can pick an RB up for 3k now and the LY's have dropped like a stone recently.

Inferno goes into the worst colour on a car group. There's a few special colours in there.

Black Grey.

I kid...

Desirability and colour only go hand in hand with cars that are still worthy of part exchange and only really with main dealers. Even then they usually just use it to haggle you.

Some colours sell better than others, theres nothing else to it.

No pink.

That one on ebay is 1600 with 81k miles with no bids. Doesn't seem to be a premium there..

Popular / Rare colours will of course command a premium, however colour alone doesnt sell a car if whats underpinning the value ( ie History / quality of car ) isnt up to par-

So Liquid yellow might be worth 6/700 over a normal 182 however if its tatty, hasnt had a belt change, has a disabled clutch , etc etc will rapidly bring the price down inline with the normal colours-

high price car = desirable , mint condition & FSH- also mileage to a certain extent-

That's what I'm saying. I'd like this 'think' it holds a premium. The fact is it is an aquired taste. People on CS like htem because they are rare, but they are rare becuase not many people liked the colour when it was released. Quality of the car far supercedes colour in terms of priority when buying what is essentially a small cheap car.
