Converting to studs

I'm looking into putting studs onto the clio, checked the ktec website for guidance and seen this

Anyway the part I am questioning is this:
T16x - M12 x1.5 to M12 x1.25 Conversion Studs

Why would I need a bolt to go from 1.5 to 1.25?

Could I not just run a 1.5 bolt?

There is no reason to convert over to 1.25, but at the same time its certainly not going to cause any adverse affects in doing so, as long as you have the correct nuts to accommodate.
personally I'd rather stick with 1.5.

That's a really good price tbh for a bullet tipped stud and nut kit. Finer thread allows easier torquing of wheels but the difference will be negligible.

Finer thread is also more resistant to shearing as well. But with a good quality stud that isn't really a worry.
