I like the idea of it though. I bet its fun for sure! He likes the Bora..lol

  Turbos.
Most people turn there noses up at them, but in 328 form must be a bit of Q Car, albeit now with the M3 wheels that one has!

Yeah im guessing their a fair bit lighter than the normal coupes/saloons. Sometimes i look and think theyre quite a cool little car, other times im just not sure. I dont like the M3 rims on this either.

Keep your Bora!

Haha i do like the Bora. Im just getting bored with FWD and to get more power i need to change the turbo etc. I have got some brand new coileys and arbs i need to fit sat here though.

Nothing really. They were only cheapo Joms and theyre a year old. I've got some AP's to go on there.

I think they're quite alright.

However this morning I passed a bright yellow one, with black wheels and lexus lights driven by some blonde bint, no no no no no...

  Turbos.
If they are anything like the Z3 2.8, it will be fun. Z3 wasn't raved about by the mags, but it is hard not to enjoy oversteer on demand...

Isn't it now basically a 2.8 Z3 with a different body?

AFAIK, the Z3 was E36 front setup with E30-derived rear?

Wouldn't touch one with a stolen ****. It's a factory cut and shut effectively and as Rob/Chris say they utilise bits off an E30 for the rear running gear. Horrible car although ironically better looking than the Rover look-a-like compact which replaced it and was actually a half decent drive in sport model guise.

Short wheelbase, RWD, decent torque. You'd need wipers on the side windows ;)

The short wheelbase thing is a common misconception, compacts are exactly the same wheel base a normal E36 saloon or coupe they just have a shorter boot. E36's are far from short wheel base.

Its still got to be a fair whack lighter over the rear wheels though? Im actually really quite tempted. A nice set of wheels and it could be a whole lot of fun..

Better pic of it -

Its either this or a set of CH reps for the Bora.

Pal of mine had a 325 (Newer shape) sounded great, went ok. Was reliable...Not a popular model tho, so he got buggerall for it through trade.

I'd go for that purely because it's RWD.

Thats what temps me. Its the later alusil (?) engine etc. So around 190bhp, 1100kgs and RWD.

A set of LM reps or something and it'd look ok i guess. I do love E36's but its the back im unsure of. Most chavs seem to have E46's now..

What you are also not mentioning, is that for circa £400 you can have 220bhp via a modifed 325i throttle body, inlet manifold & induction kit ... the 2.8 engine is strangled from the factory!!

Ive heard that can be a bit hit or miss? You can lose alot of mid range ive read?

Ahh you may be right. The lad said around 1100kgs but i think your right. I had a look on wiki and it says 1290kgs or 1175kgs curb weight.

We did an engine swap (2 infact) in one of these the other night, some people may of seen it at Coombe.

316 with a 325 and another with a 328 engine.

They feel quick! Easy swap aswell, it's literally plug and play.
