Could this of been why the rear felt different on fast sharp left/right hand corners

as above as u can see there both marked but quite a difference in height.. i removed these from my cup last saturday... only thought 2 check 2 day as when i was down at dans at 519 i mentioned about my springs as i thought only 1 had the marks and he said they could maybe be 2 different springs so when i got home i thought id have a quick look

am i right in thinking these are 2 different springs????

A big difference there.

no neither of them are broken mate.. they are exactly how they were when i took them off the car.. couldnt beleive it when i stood them side by side

I see one is yellow and white,what is the other one.

is one an aftermarket spring? maybe even an OE spring off the wrong model?

one off a cup other a standard 172?

they do look odd side by side though

all i can think is at some point some 1 changed 1 of the springs and got the wrong 1 i.e a standard 172 spring

Yep, the yellow and white marked spring is a genuine 172 cup spring and the white marked one is a standard 172 spring.
I may well have a couple of 172 cup springs, I'll have a look tomorrow and pm you if you're interested??

thanks for the offer mate but iv just put sportlines on.. suppose that will explain why the car felt different when on fast left/right hand corners then
