couple of 182 questions..

right, ive seen the oil test display come on before when i took it for a test drive, (only got my car lastnight), but havent managed to get it to do the oil level test since?

i turn ignition on and just the set -- comes on for the cruise control?

also, oil is half full on dispstick, do the renault dealers stock the elf oil and how much should it be?

Hey there, i just baught a 182 about 2 weeks ago, sounds like you have all the paperwork. have you tried after switching ignition on, press in the end of the wiper stalk, that usually clears the display, back to milage.

know anything about renault servicing by the way?

you should have got an extra clio sport bit along with the usual clio manual

you just need to press the end of the wiper stalk so it is no longer on the cruise control speed setter and then the oil thingy should show on ignition

is it a brand new 182 youve got cos you may just not be able to see the accurate oil level

press the reset on the mileage / speedo when it says oil ok and itll bring up the level.

as soon as u turn the key such that the power comes on, or you start the engine. it should say oil ok

got it, had to switch cruise control off, then it said oil ok as soon as igniton came on, pressed the reset button and it showed up 2 of the circles as lines..

will top up when can find some suitable oil - any recommendations?



anyone got a photo of the renaultsport manual that should be included aswell as the clio manual?

wiper stalk will not bring up oil ok, oil ok only comes up when the power comes on iirc. wiper stalk will clear the oil ok message but you cant bring it up again.

Oil OK doesnt always come up on mine but maybe 1 time in 20 im talking it wont.... maybe its cause your oil isnt ok...

well take it back, shouldnt be supplied a car which is low on oil. might be leaking at the rocker cover, take a look in at the bottom of where u fill the oil. look for damp / shiny bits. common fault.

If you have set-- come up when cruise control is on, wiper stalk will clear it, thats wot i meant. anyway, at least you got it sorted.

mills, tried doing that but it just clears it to the odometer reading..

have to turn cruise control off and then oil ok comes on, if pressing the stalk it goes to odometer, if pressing rest brings up the level details.

just found the dealer im taking my car to has elf oil on the shelf, going to buy some tomorrow.

also got my car booked in for its first 12k service on the 18th, its just over 11k miles at the minute.
