  Mk4 R32
Cheers for the comments guys, but yeah as Paul said, its Indigo Blue not grey, that is just Scottish dirt :D Gaz i did take a couple of vids on the Gopro but the sound didn't work, i might load them up and dub over them. Pictures came out alright considering we were loosing light fast! No bad for a last minute dive up, we shall do it again in the near future and get proper pics and vids tho, with noise ;)

  This one ^ (someday)
Im a huge fan of fast VWs, they seem to have the blend of class and madness that really appeals to me. Kind of like the modern ferraris, obviously on a much lesser scale!

What are the Mk4 R32s like? The rest of the Mk4s are a bit crap by all accounts but i always seem to hear good things about the R32

Tim - I love my MK4. It's got everything I need. Can drive it very hard with the utmost of confidence that it will never let go, then you can just cruise about, on the motorway for example is nice and quiet (as quiet as can be considering the miltek) but you have enough power to overtake safely with no issues. I'm sure Paul and anyone else who has had one, IV/V, would agree. Even tho mine and Paul's are quite low, they are still comfortable. Yes it's a little more bumpy ect but that has to expected.

Dave - I'm sure Paul will agree with me when I say that the handling has been massively improved, it's honestly like a go kart. Ride comfort is not half as bad as people would tell you, even with our horrendous roads. Paul will no doubt reply in due time.

The noise is, well unreal tbh, something has to be heard to fully appreciate, although that video does it some favours, it's more a "full" noise in real life.

If you'd have titled it two Golfs in the countryside I don't think I'd of bothered looking lol.

I'm a big fan of anything with a VR6. One of best sounds in the world full stop

Both look lovely, think the mk5 just edges it for me though.

One of my favourite roads! Handily around 30mins from the house too

If only those roads were 30mins from me! :dapprove:

Love the Scottish roads - great fun and generally free of most traffic.

Don't know much about the R32's but they always sound good whenever I hear one go by. They do 'look' a heavy car. Even with that engine under the bonnet, do they feel weighty going through corners?

The handling as standard was good ! 4wd drags you out the corners with the torque helping . Very planted ! With th coilovers on it's improved the handling but sacrifices the comfort. Not going to lie , it's not a smooth ride but it's by no means "crashy" ! Because they are so low your eyes are glued to the road ahead so at times it's a bit draining watching for potholes. The noise ...... If you have only heard them on YouTube and think they sound great then you have to hear it in real life. We could hear each other changing up or down from easily 2 miles away. A deep raspy noise :)

Mk4 R32's are just superb.

I can't quite come to terms with the Mk5. Too much bling on it for me I think.
